Joshua Kirby - Youth Mayor 2022 - 2023

Longridge Town Council are pleased to announce our first ever Youth Mayor - Josh Kirkby.
Youth Mayor 2022 - 2023 Josh's Manifesto as Youth Mayor Joshua Kirby Josh is 16 years old and resides in Longridge with his family. Josh attended St Cecilia's High School where he was also elected for the Student Council.
Since finishing his education at St Cecilia's,
Josh plans to attend Clitheroe Royal Grammar School to study Maths, Computer Science and Politics. Josh joined the Longridge Youth Council in 2022. The Youth Council was launched by Longridge Community Action (LCA) to give young people a voice, for their voice to be heard and for their ideas to be acted upon.
Josh's Manifesto as Youth Mayor
With Support, Josh will be looking to tackle the following;
- Vaping by young people and raising awareness
- Creating access to better sports facilities
- Developing a internet café where young people will have access to WIFI
